What we do
The Office of the University Secretary:
- coordinates, facilitates and records the activities of the university's governing bodies - the Board of Governors, the Senate, and their standing and ad hoc committees;
- coordinates, facilitates and records the activities of the university's executive search committees;
- as the Registrar under the University Act, serves as the secretary for Convocation (Please note that the manages matters pertaining to the convocation ceremonies, and the is responsible for the production of all degrees, replacement degrees, diplomas and certificates);
- oversees elections to the Board of Governors and the Senate, and ratifications of senior university appointments;
- receives reports on operational matters from the and;
- oversees the organization of the university's policy manual and coordinates and facilitates policy review and development.
