Multi-phase flow, electrostatic spraying, plasma actuators, turbulence

Mohammad-Reza received the PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Beira Interior (Portugal) in 2021. He has been awarded the best doctorate thesis in Engineering 2021 Portugal. He received the MSc in Aerospace Engineering at the Ferdowsi University in Iran and the B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at the Babol Noshirvani University of Technology. Currently, he is a post-Doctoral researcher working on a project entitled “Development of CFD Tools for Prediction of Cavitation-Induced Underwater Radiated Noise” under the supervision of Dr. Peter Oshkai.

He has done extensive research on (a) Numerical modeling of the electrostatic spraying process, (b) Modeling of the cavitating and super-cavitating two-phase flows, (c) Performing the Plasma flow using dielectric barrier discharge plasma actuators (DBDPAs), (d) Simulating microbial pathogen micro saliva droplets transmission mechanisms during cough, sneeze or even exhale, (e) Experimental and numerical work on an innovative designed shore-line Wave Energy Converter (WEC), (f) Modeling of Fluid-Solid Interactions (FSI) & Conjugate Heat Transfer (CHT) and (g) Geometrical optimization of the high-speed planing hull.

Mohammad-Reza spends his free time likes to spend time with family and friends, as well as enjoying sports, music, and traveling.
