Credentials

BEng (UVic)

Area of expertise

Hydrogen liquefaction, redox flow batteries

Erwin completed his BEng in Mechanical Engineering at UVic in Spring 2024. He began studying for his MASc in Mechanical Engineering in Fall 2024 under the supervision of Dr. Andrew Rowe and Dr. Jason Lee.

During the last year of his BEng studies, Erwin researched hydrogen liquefaction under Dr. Andrew Rowe. Specifically, he studied the modern state of hydrogen liquefaction technology and modelling hydrogen liquefaction processes in TESPy, an open source, Python-based thermodynamic system modelling library.

Erwin's Master's thesis project focuses on the transport mechanics of iron redox flow batteries.

In his free time, Erwin enjoys fishing, fencing, and gardening.
