Mackenzie Judson
Position
Credentials
BASc (Queen's University)
Area of expertise
Decarbonization pathway assessment, data science, uncertainty modelling, and climate policy
Mackenzie completed her BASc in Mechanical Engineering at Queen’s University in 2021, and she joined the Sustainable Energy Systems Integration and Transitions (SESIT) group at UVic shortly after as a research assistant. She began her MASc in Civil Engineering at UVic in 2022 before transferring to her doctoral studies in 2023.
Mackenzie is currently exploring how improving consideration of uncertainty in energy system models leads to unique and robust insights. She also evaluating opportunities for data science and machine learning methods to aid long-term planning and policy.
