Dr. Danlin Hou received her master’s degree from Tongji University in 2017 and received her Ph.D. from the University of Concordia in 2022. Her primary research areas are building energy and environmental modeling and probabilistic predictions with uncertainties. Her research interests include surrogate modeling using machine learning approaches, big data analytics, building energy and environmental performance prediction, co-simulation between BES and microclimate, and advanced HVAC control. During her study at Concordia, she was awarded the Concordia University International Tuition Award of Excellence (CAD $36,918), the Concordia Graduate Award (CAD $5,000), and the Conference and Exposition Award several times. She has published various peer-reviewed journal papers and conference papers. She also has 4 years of industrial experience in the design and operation of HVAC systems and fire control systems in China.
