Ocean planning.
Linda received her BSc in Geographical Information Science at Capital Normal University, China. During her undergraduate studies, she focused on the land utilization, environmental conservation & urban development. She also engaged in several research projects, such as:
- Study of Urban Expansion of the Yangtze River Delta Region using Remote Sensing Image.
- Study of Land Cover Identification and Classification using Hyperspectral Images.
- Effect of Different Types of Underlying Surfaces on Human Comfort and the Urban Heat Island in Beijing.
Research interests
Her work with WCWI will shift her interest from “Land Planning” to “Ocean Planning”. She will work on constructing a digital map of our ocean to assist others in determining the ideal places to build wave power station.
