Evaluating optimization techniques to improve the performances of the energy converters.
Stephen is an undergraduate student in the mechanical engineering program at UVic, graduating in Spring 2015. After working with hybrid vehicle designs, Stephen gained an interest into other areas of sustainable energy sources. His last work terms were working with the Royal Canadian Navy and a love of oceans followed him here. Specializing in fluid dynamics, as well as computer aided design, Stephen is working on modelling the behaviour and performances of wave energy converters. He is also using optimization techniques to improve the performances of the energy converters.
In his free time, Stephen plays squash and is an avid snowboarder in the winter seasons. He enjoys architecture design and is a computer enthusiast.
