The Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging (CLSA)- UVic site is hiring a Site Coordinator.
Summary of position
The Site Coordinator will oversee all aspects of the research project, including the collection of questionnaire based information, the coordination of clinical assessments conducted at the Data Collection Site (DCS) located at the Gorge Road Hospital, and the overall administration of the UVic CLSA site. The Site Coordinator will be supported by the Research Manager at IALH and the CLSA Principal Investigator at UVic. The position is demanding, fast-paced, and rewarding.
Responsibilities include
鈥 Coordinating and supervising staff to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the study site
鈥 Serving as a Research Assistant and performing research protocols as required
鈥 Monitoring all research activities, including the management of study participants, the data collection process, the calibration and maintenance of equipment, overall quality control processes, and the training and certification of staff
鈥 Acting as the primary point of contact for participants and study staff, staff at the National Coordinating Centre, and other study sites
Requirements include
鈥 Postgraduate degree in a health or social science, or equivalent experience in a health care-related field
鈥 Minimum of 4 years recent experience in project coordination, including supervision of research staff and monitoring of project budgets
鈥 Strong research skills and knowledge of issues related to implementing study protocols
鈥 Organized, detail-oriented, reliable and professional
鈥 Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Terms of Employment
鈥 This is a full time grant funded position for one year with the possibility of extension.
鈥 Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The salary range is $63,000 - $68,000.
