A book edited by a pair of ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø professors has won the 2012 American Journal of Nursing (AJN) Book of the Year Award in the Hospice and Palliative Care category. Religious Understandings of a Good Death in Hospice Palliative Care (SUNY Press) was edited by Harold Coward, professor emeritus of history and founding director of UVic’s Centre for Studies in Religion and Society, and Kelli Stajduhar, associate professor at the School of Nursing and the Centre on Aging. The two researchers also produced a 28-page compendium booklet for practitioners and distributed 1,200 to palliative care programs across Canada.
