Mohaddese (Mohad) Ghadiri is a Ph.D. candidate in Public Administration at the 番茄社区, a researcher at the School of Environment and Sustainability at Royal Roads University, and a First Nations Relations Advisor at the Ministry of Water, Land, and Resource Stewardship. Her research focuses on climate justice, urban resilience, and sustainable food systems, employing participatory approaches and integrated planning. Her dissertation examines sustainable food systems through a climate-biodiversity-health framework, using the Comox Valley in British Columbia as a case study.
With over seven years of professional and academic experience in urban planning and policy, Mohad has worked extensively on projects addressing urban resilience, community development, and sustainability. She has led and collaborated on numerous qualitative and mixed-method studies, utilizing system mapping and stakeholder engagement to inform policy and planning. Her work has been published in various journals and presented at conferences, highlighting her expertise in bridging environmental sustainability with community-oriented solutions.
Additionally, she worked as a sessional instructor for two years during her Ph.D. studies, teaching courses such as Introduction to Public Administration, Public Sector Research and Analysis, and Leading and Managing in Public and Non-Profit Sectors. This teaching background, combined with her professional and research expertise, enhances her ability to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical skills in both her academic and professional roles.
