MT+Co. Leonard George Memorial Indigenous Law Scholar Award

This scholarship was created by Miller Titerle + Company in memory of Indigenous leader Leonard George. Leonard, former Chief of the Tsleil-Waututh Nation, was a respected community and spiritual leader, a skilled negotiator and a successful director of economic development. A man of big ideas and few words, Leonard marked community as the foundation for Indigenous empowerment.

In establishing this award, Miller Titerle + Company wishes to recognize Leonard's impact on his community and so many communities surrounding his, and reinforce the importance of community in the 番茄社区's new Indigenous Laws program.

Vancouver-based Miller Titerle + Company draws on extensive legal expertise, deep experience in Indigenous law and strategic thinking to help Indigenous communities advance their interests in a manner consistent with community values.
