Shaelin Bishop (they/she) graduated from the ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø with their BA in Writing in 2020, with a concentration in fiction and screenwriting. Their work has appeared in The Fiddlehead, The Ex-Puritan, The Common, Room, CAROUSEL, Plenitude, PRISM international, The New Quarterly, Augur, and elsewhere, and has been nominated for the Best of the Net and the Pushcart Prize anthologies. They were longlisted for the 2021 CBC Short Story Prize and are a current finalist for the 2024 Alberta Magazine Awards.

A writer of short fiction, novels, and occasionally poetry, their work often explores queerness, power, and reckoning with one’s desires, often through a surreal lens. Their thesis project is an experimental novel about lesbian cult leaders. When they aren’t writing, they can often be found rock climbing, making matcha, or struggling to keep their houseplants alive.
