Katri comes to UVic with almost 20 years of professional experience in costuming. After completing a degree (BA Soc) at SFU, and a Diploma in Costume Studies at Dalhousie University (Dean’s List and top student award), she’s spent her time diligently working and studying to further her skills in as many costume fields as possible.
With experience in men’s wear, women’s wear, dance, opera, tailoring, tutu construction, animal wear and puppetry, she’s occupied positions as cutter, stitcher, tailor, assistant designer, coordinator, head of wardrobe and dresser for both theatre and film/television across the country.
Live Performance Highlights Include:
Stratford Festival, Banff Arts Centre, National Ballet Company, Phoenix Theatre, Mirvish Productions, Pacific Opera Victoria, Canadian Opera Company, Tarragon Theatre, National Arts School, Centaur Theatre, Opera de Montreal, Belfry, Ronnie Burkett Theatre of Marionettes and the 2010 Winter Olympics and Special Olympics Ceremonies.
